Why SKYMIA exists

Travel better together.

Most holidays are built for couples, families and groups of friends. Travel on your own and the choice is stark: go it alone, or join a group you had no say in.

SKYMIA began on a few solo trips through Southeast Asia. The places were extraordinary, and there were good people along the way. But rarely anyone at a similar stage of life, and rarely anyone to travel with again.

What we wanted was simple: the freedom of travelling alone, with people worth sharing it with. So that's what we built. Eight guests, each one chosen by application. One private villa, with a room of your own. Two age groups, 30 to 49 and 50 to 67.

Come on your own. Leave with your kind of people.

And the name? SKYMIA comes from Skyla and Mia, two much loved cats who stay at home while we travel. This way, they come on every trip.

Every guest applies, and a person reads every application. We look for people who are open minded, respectful and glad to share the trip, in two age groups: 30 to 49 and 50 to 67.

A private villa with a pool, hand-picked by us and yours for the whole stay. No packing up every other morning.

Met when you land.

Airport transfers both ways, and your own driver with a private van most days. Tell us the plan and your driver takes you there.

Slow mornings, two dinners together and curated experiences your group picks. The rest of the time is yours.

The villa, eight breakfasts, five lunches, two dinners together, and the days you'll talk about for years, with options such as a private catamaran out to the islands, quad bikes up to the Big Buddha or a morning with elephants. Your group picks, and it's all in the price. We confirm the final options before your week.
