Thailand. First SKYMIA Trip
Turquoise water, limestone cliffs, and the kind of golden hour light that makes everyone stop scrolling and start living.
Phuket is Thailand's largest island, and honestly, the perfect place to launch SKYMIA. It has everything a first trip together needs: stunning beaches, a buzzing night market, quiet temples, and enough good food to make every dinner conversation a highlight in itself.
You won't be doing Phuket like a tourist. You'll be doing it like you've lived there for years, with seven people who, by the end of the week, feel like old friends.
Highlights
Wake up to your own private pool, every single morning, in a villa exclusively booked for your group of 8.
Explore Phuket's famous beaches, from the buzz of Patong to the quieter shores of Kata and Karon.
A welcome dinner on night one that turns eight strangers into a group by dessert.
Two curated group experiences, handpicked to give you real Phuket, not the tourist trail version.
Freedom to explore Phuket Old Town, its Sino Portuguese architecture, markets, and cafes, at your own pace.
A private pre-trip WhatsApp group, so by the time you land, you already feel like you know each other.
What's Included
Accommodation
No shared corridors, no other guests, no hotel lobby. Just your group of 8, a private pool, and a setting built for the kind of evenings that turn into your favourite holiday memories.
Every guest has their own room to retreat to, alongside the open living and dining spaces designed for the group to come together.
The Vibe
Phuket is Thailand's largest island, roughly the same size as Singapore, and 70% of it is actually mountainous rainforest, not beach.
The nearby limestone island made famous in a 1970s Bond film is unofficially known as James Bond Island to this day.
Phuket was never colonised, thanks in part to two local women who led the island's defence against invasion in 1785. They're still celebrated as heroines today.
Phuket Old Town is known for its Sino Portuguese architecture, a legacy of the island's 19th century tin mining boom.
The island is home to one of Thailand's largest Buddha statues, standing 45 metres tall on a hilltop above Chalong Bay.
November to April, when SKYMIA runs its Phuket trips, is the island's true high season. Warm, dry, and calm seas.

FAQs
Our first Phuket departures are 12 January 2027 and 22 January 2027. More dates open as we confirm future trips, visible on our Trip Calendar.
Flights, travel insurance, visa fees where applicable, meals beyond what's listed, optional activities, and personal spending. We recommend budgeting for a few extra meals out and any activities you want to add beyond the two included experiences.
Every trip includes two premium curated experiences, chosen to be genuinely memorable rather than generic tourist activities. For Phuket, examples might include a private sunset longtail boat trip to a hidden island bay with snorkelling and a beachside seafood barbecue, a hands-on Thai cooking class starting with a local market walk, or a private day trip to one of the smaller nearby islands. The exact experiences can vary by trip, and where there's a choice to be made, your group will have a say in deciding together. What stays constant is the standard: thoughtful, premium, and worth every penny.
This depends on your nationality. Many nationalities can enter Thailand visa free for short stays, but it's your responsibility to check current requirements before booking flights.
January is one of the best months to visit Phuket. Warm, dry, and sunny, with calm seas and little rainfall. It's genuinely the island's high season for a reason.
No. SKYMIA is freedom first. We organise two curated group experiences and handle the logistics, but the rest of your time is entirely your own to explore Phuket at your own pace, together or apart.
Nobody does at first. That's the whole point of SKYMIA. Every guest applies individually, and the pre-trip WhatsApp group means you'll already feel connected before you even land.
